The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is thrilled with the growth and
results to date of
Wendy's Wonderful Kids, a signature program of the Foundation, that provides grants to adoption organizations to find families for children waiting in care. The Foundation currently funds 122
Wendy's Wonderful Kids sites in all 50 states and the District of Columbia to support adoption professionals committed to aggressively matching children with adoptive families. Additionally, the
Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Canada supports six
Wendys' Wonderful Kids sites in four provinces in Canada.
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids grants are awarded at the invitation of the Foundation. Foster care adoption agencies, both public and private, may be considered as
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids sites. To be considered, please complete an
Agency Profile and submit it
electronically to the Foundation.
In any given year, the Foundation may fund a limited number of non-
Wendy's Wonderful Kids proposals. Organizations interested in funding are invited to share information about themselves and their programs by submitting no more than two pages describing their organization and project, emphasizing the need that it addresses to assist in moving children out of foster care and into permanent adoptive homes. Please note that the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption does not fund individuals or individual adoptions, nor does it provide grants for capital campaigns or projects outside of the mission to dramatically increase the number of adoptions of children waiting in foster care.
