Thousands of Wendy’s Restaurants participate in the Foundation's National Canister Campaign and invite you to visit your local Wendy’s restaurant and drop your spare change in the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption canisters. The coins add up! In 2008, Wendy’s customers raised over $2,500,000 in support of the Foundation’s signature program,
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids.
Father’s Day Frosty Weekend
Wendy’s restaurants donated 50 cents for every Frosty product purchased over the Father’s Day weekend to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s initiatives. Customers also donated by purchasing a Frosty pin-up for $1 each.
This year, Wendy’s started a new tradition for Father’s Day. Kids ccould go to
FrostyCard.com to create a free custom Father’s Day eCard. Wendy’s donated an additional 25¢ to the Foundation for every Frosty Card sent. Kids chose from a variety of scenes and objects, from sandcastles on the beach to baseball in the backyard, or they could give Dad a taste of Hollywood by selecting a pre-designed card created by a celebrity.
Thank you to the many folks across the nation for participating in
Father's Day Frosty Weekend and helping children who wait for adoption. This year’s efforts raised more than $1.8 million!
Halloween Trick or Treat Gift Books
Each autumn, Wendy's offers Jr. Frosty coupon treat books for only $1. Since 1992, this annual fundraiser has generated millions of dollars for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption as we work to move children out of foster care and into permanent homes. 90% of the book sales are donated to the Foundation. In
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids markets, 100% of these funds received by the Foundation are earmarked specifically for the grant supporting the
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids adoption recruiter. We are committed to assuring that the funds generated impact the need in the communities in which they are raised.

Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge Golf Tournament
Each year professional golfers from the PGA, LPGA and Champions PGA Tours battle it out to see who will be victorious in the
Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge Golf Tournament. This nationally televised event is the only one of its kind featuring the top players from each PGA tour competing head-to-head in three-member teams. In its 18-year history, the event has raised more than $30 million for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
