“QCCI decided to establish the adoption benefits as an added benefit to our overall benefits package after looking at the average expense of a newborn child that we covered thru our health package but did not have any coverage for those families who could not have children and how expensive it would be (even with the Federal tax credit) for them to have a family also. Our corporate culture at QCCI has always been about taking care of its employees and family members and providing a company where people feel loved and cared for. We found it easy to create the policy after working thru the initial stages using the format that the Dave Thomas Foundation gave as sample policies for possible adoption policies. The Adoption Foundation materials were very helpful in that they helped us develop a plan from nothing and helped us with deciding with expenses could be eligible for reimbursement or not."  Gregory C.
