Attendance is mandatory for recruiters and strongly encouraged for supervisors. Please plan to be in Columbus, Ohio, for two full days, from the start of the Summit on Wednesday, May 16, at 8 a.m., through the close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. There is an optional reception, with registration and networking, on the evening of Tuesday, May 15. The Summit will once again be held at the Hilton at Easton.
AGENDA
Tuesday, May 15 – Welcome reception and registration in the evening
Wednesday, May 16 – Full day of sessions and networking, and the always-popular awards dinner
Thursday, May 17 – Summit closes at 4:30 p.m.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS
To help us check for booking errors, please reserve each room in the name of the person who will use it – do not reserve multiple rooms in one person’s name. Visit our private reservation web page to make your room reservations and get our group rate of $199 per night, or call the hotel directly at 614-414-5000, ask for “reservations,” and indicate you are with the “Dave Thomas Foundation group.” The Hilton is part of the Easton Town Center, which is a lovely outdoor shopping venue, so you may want to bring comfortable walking shoes to explore.

The Columbus airport code is CMH.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
There is a free courtesy shuttle between the airport and the hotel. The hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. You can call the shuttle from the courtesy phones in the airport baggage claim area, or dial 614-414-5000 from your cell phone upon landing. Please let the concierge know when you will be leaving the hotel at the end of your stay if you will be taking the shuttle back to the airport.
DRESS
Dress is business casual. We suggest you bring a sweater or scarf. It is difficult to regulate the room temperatures to meet everyone’s comfort level.
CEUs
We will once again apply for CEUs for attendees with social work or counseling licenses. Last year’s event qualified for eight. We will keep you posted on this year’s approval process.
CHOOSING BREAKOUT SESSIONS
In April, we will provide you with an online registration form to choose your break-out sessions, alert us to any dietary restrictions and (hopefully) register for CEUs .
MEALS
We will provide appetizers on Tuesday night, all meals on Wednesday, and breakfast and lunch on Thursday.
FINANCES
You should have the funds in your grant from the Dave Thomas Foundation to cover the cost of your travel and hotel. Grantees were instructed to include up to $2,000 in their travel line item for airfare, meals and three nights (@ $230 per night) at the hotel. You may have already gotten additional funds approved. If not, and if you feel that your costs will be in excess of the amount budgeted in your current contract, please contact Steve Meier at 614-764-8441.
BUSINESS CARDS
A contact list for all recruiters and supervisors is always available to you on our website, but you may also want to bring your business cards for networking and sharing.
