JOHN INWRIGHT JOINS DAVE THOMAS FOUNDATION FOR ADOPTION
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
COLUMBUS, OH – The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption proudly announces the election of John Inwright to its board of trustees. Inwright is the president of Quality Supply Chain Co-Op (QSCC), the exclusive independent purchasing cooperative for The Wendy’s Company and its franchisees in North America.
“We are so pleased to welcome John,” said Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the Foundation. “His professional expertise and philanthropic governance experience combined with his dedication to Dave Thomas’ legacy of ‘doing the right thing’ will most certainly help to propel our mission forward.”
Inwright has lead QSCC since its inception in 2010 and brings to the industry innovation, integrity, relationship-building with franchisees and suppliers, and leading the development of high-performance employee teams. He has worked in the food service industry for most of his career. Immediately prior to his role at QSCC, Inwright was executive vice-president and general manager for Nice-Pak Professional. He also served as chief procurement officer at U.S. Foodservice, one of the country’s largest broad-line foodservice distributors. Inwright has served on sub-committees of two of the world’s leading corporate think tanks, the Conference Board and the Corporate Executive Board and currently co-chairs the Supply Chain Sub-Committee of the National Council of Chain Restaurants.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this board of directors,” Inwright said. “Over the years, I’ve watched this Foundation move the needle for foster care adoption and I’m proud to be a part of something that is so clearly and effectively bettering the lives of children. It really means a lot to me.”
John Inwright graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in hotel and restaurant leadership, and economics, from Shepherd University in West Virginia. He lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife Patty. They have two adult children (New York City, and Louisville, Kentucky), and one granddaughter in New York City.
