How Hilton Grand Vacations Supported Wayne’s Path to Parenthood
Wayne, a Customer Care Agent at Hilton Grand Vacations, and his wife have been fostering for years, opening their homes and hearts to children who need it the most. In 2019, a 10-month-old baby boy entered their home, and the couple developed a special bond with him.
The priority of the foster care system is to keep families together, and in 2021 the baby boy was reunited with his family of origin. Unfortunately, the boy’s mother later passed away. Then, Wayne and his wife were granted custody, officially becoming his parents in 2022.
Throughout the adoption process, the couple leaned on Wayne’s employer, Hilton Grand Vacations, for support. The company’s adoption benefits, which include financial reimbursement and parental leave, brought the couple relief and joy.
“It was very overwhelming to learn our company was a huge supporter of team members who made a difference in children’s lives,” shared Wayne. “For us, it was not the amount of assistance, but that they cared enough to help, share and support the new journey in our lives.”
