With Adoption Benefits from Verisk Analytics, Jason’s Family and Career are Flourishing
Jason’s story began eight years ago. He had always dreamed of starting a family, and in 2017, he took the brave step to begin his journey. For nearly a decade, Jason explored every avenue to become a dad. He fostered nearly 20 children, made six attempts through surrogacy and waited two years to be matched through private adoption. Despite countless setbacks and the challenges of navigating these processes as a single father, Jason never gave up hope.
A week before Thanksgiving 2024, he received the call he had dreamed about. The call that restored hope for the day that he could hold his daughter in his arms and feel the greatest joy of his life.
That day came in December 2024. His little girl, who arrived five weeks early, fought for her life with the same strength and resilience that Jason had shown throughout his journey to become her dad.
Jason had a successful career but never thought his dream of becoming a father could be a reality until he joined Verisk Analytics, Inc. Only with the support and encouragement of his team and Verisk’s leadership did Jason believe he could have both the family he dreamed of and the career he worked so hard for. He knew that without an organization and team that valued family and well-being, it would be nearly impossible to adopt and raise a child as a single dad.
“The support from not only Verisk’s paid parental leave program, but the leadership and colleagues of Verisk was amazing and reduced so much stress,” Jason shared. “My daughter deserves a dad who fights for her and pursues what he loves. I didn’t have to make the unthinkable choice between a family and a flourishing career.”
