Hilton Grand Vacations’ Adoption Benefits Filled Jeremy’s Home with Hope
Jeremy and Steve’s story began in 2003, when a chance introduction during their time working at an Orlando theme park sparked a connection that quickly grew into a lifelong partnership. Their story evolved through years of shared adventures and beach trips and eventually led to their wedding in 2016.
When they decided to expand their family, they chose to pursue private adoption through an agency. Their shared dream of parenthood came true in January 2024 with the birth of their daughter. They spent three nights in the hospital with their new little bundle of joy until they were able to take her home. This moment marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter — one filled with bedtime stories, pool games, magical adventures and cherished holiday traditions. Their home is now even more full of laughter and warmth as they step into fatherhood with open hearts and an unwavering commitment to their daughter.
Adoption benefits provided by Jeremy’s employer, Hilton Grand Vacations, supported the couple in their family-building journey. With 12 weeks of parental leave, Jeremy was able to take necessary time off to bond with his daughter. And his team at HGV came together to make sure he had everything he needed. Also, HGV offers up to $10,000 toward qualified adoption expenses per child. This was a huge help with the final cost of the adoption, which totaled over $50,000.
“The biggest challenge was the unknown. You never know when or if you will get the call. It is such a joy to adopt. And even the challenges keep you energized and excited for the next part of the process.” Jeremy shared.
