The Foundation holds its annual Summit May 14-15 in Columbus, Ohio. More than 25 adoption advocates and former foster youth will speak to adoption professionals from the U.S. and Canada on a variety of topics including the state of adoption, family finding, cultural competence in adoption, and how adoption saved one youth.

Foundation hosts hundreds of U.S., Canadian adoption professionals for annual Summit

Hundreds of adoption professionals will convene in Columbus as the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption hosts its annual Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Summit. The two-day event begins Tuesday, May 14, at the Hilton at Easton.

Foundation launches new PSA campaign on adoptive families

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has launched a new public service campaign about families built through foster care adoption. The “When I First Met My Child” video and poster series features real families formed through foster care adoption. You can preorder copies of the posters on our store page.

First adoptions finalized in Ohio partnership

Three northern Ohio siblings have a loving, permanent new home and are the first adoptions a result of a partnership between the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption that will help more of Ohio’s waiting children find homes.
