2026 Supervisor of the Year: Corinna from Georgia

During the 2026 Wendy’s Wonderful Kids® Summit, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption recognized Corinna, a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids supervisor with Bethany Christian Services of Georgia, as a Supervisor of the Year.

Through our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, the Foundation supports the hiring of professionals, known as recruiters, who are dedicated to finding permanent families for children lingering in foster care. These professionals use an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model to find the right family for every child in their care.

A rigorous, five-year national evaluation revealed that the model is up to 3x more effective at serving the longest-waiting children in care. That includes teenagers, children with special needs and siblings.

You can just tell that Corrina really loves it and believes in the work,” said MaKenna, a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiter at Bethany Christian Services of Georgia. “Although she is so nice and positive, she also really will fight hard for the kids that we work with. And if you need help, she will hop on an email chain … she’ll hop on the meeting with you. She’s always got your back.”.

“To be Supervisor of the Year is just absolutely amazing. I am so grateful for everyone on my team,” shared Corinna. “My why and my motivation really stems from the fact that I like being supportive and helpful. And this role allows me to be supportive of an entire team and see their support of other youth. To be a part of their journey and their progression of things … is just so wonderful to know that we’re doing such a good thing and something that I truly believe in, like deep in my heart. It’s just something that makes me happy to go to work every day.”

Congratulations, Corinna, and thank you for sharing our belief that a permanent family is possible for every child … no matter their story.
